One of the first “Ramones” managers, 62 years old Linda Stein was found dead in her apartment in Manhattan on October 30th. Her death was confirmed after an autopsy. Medical examiner reports that Linda Stein died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck. Police says that there were no signs of a break-in or robbery and cannot find any motive for the killing.
Linda Stein — the ex-wife of the “Sire Records” president and the “Warner Brothers Records” vice-president Seymour Stein, a former school teacher, along with Danny Fields was a co-manager of the “Ramones” in their heyday. After leaving the “Ramones” in the 80’s she became a real estate broker — she was selling estate agency in Manhattan for the music, movie and show business celebrities. Her clients were Madonna, Calvin Klein, Sting, Bruce Willis and many others. |
