The legendary drummer of the Ramones Richard Reinhardt, well known as Richie Ramone will join “The Pasadena Pops Orchestra”. He will perform a 17 minute drum solo interpretation of Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” to celebrate the 50th anniversary release on Broadway.

On May 31, the most popular punk rock band in Russia “Tarakany!” have released a unique mp3 compilation “Redkiye Metally”. It contains 57 tracks include demo versions, outtakes, the songs in English and German language, a few absolutely new songs and also 4 tracks of “Marky Ramone & Tarakany!” recorded in January 2005 at one of the concerts during their European tour “Ramones Night Tour”. |
A new song “Stop Thinking” was written by Marky Ramone and an American blues musician Mayer Rossabi and recorded with the following line-up: Marky Ramone — drums; Rey Necari — bass, keyboards; Dacota MacLeod — backing vocals and Mayer Rossabi — guitar, lead vocals. The song is available for listening at Mayer’s myspace page. Necessary to note, that it wasn’t the first work of Marky and Mayer. Together they have wrote a few tracks for Marky’s solo projects, including “Don’t Blame Me” which was recorded in mono and performed by “The Runaways” ex-guitarist and vocalist the legendary Joan Jett. In 2002 for the movie “Brooklyn Boys”, in which Marky played a small role, was written the song “Deadly Ties”. |
