Джонни, Джоуи, Ди Ди и Марки Рамоны звучат гораздо мощнее, сочнее и четче чем когда-либо. Ну, конееечно, продюсером был тот-самый-фил-спектор. Интересно то, что сингл «Baby, I Love You», который должен выйти вместе с пластинкой написал сам Спектор для Ronnetes в далеком 1963м. Фил и мальчики оказались удачным сочетанием талантов. Несмотря на нарочитую прилизанность, Спектр не забил на фундаментальную сырость и драйвовую свободу группы, что, собственно, сделало ее первыми национальными нью-вэйверами. У Рамоунс из Квинс отличный эклектический (яндекс сказал, это такой, который не следует одному ученью, а избирает и согласует лучшее из многих — прим. хаба) акцент. Они говорят «banahna» как настоящие британцы и «Rack’n’Roll» как челы со среднего запада. А мальчишеская лирика и фильм «Rock’n’Roll High School» (одноименная песня есть на альбоме) помогут им в этот раз порвать топ 40. People Magazine, March 1980 |
